Important Requirements for a UK Student Visa
If you’re planning to study in the UK, you need to meet specific student visa requirements to ensure a successful application. Below are the key requirements for obtaining a UK Student Visa (Tier 4):
1. Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
A CAS letter from a UK university is mandatory. It contains a unique reference number proving your admission. Issued only by UKVI-approved institutions (licensed sponsors).
2. Financial Proof (Maintenance Funds)
You must prove you have enough money to cover:
- Tuition fees for the first year
- Living expenses for up to 9 months Required funds (outside London): £1,023 per month Required funds (inside London): £1,334 per month
Bank statements, scholarships, or sponsorship letters can be used as proof.
UK Student Visa Application Process
Step 1: Get Your Offer Letter from a UK University
Apply to a UKVI-approved institution (universities or colleges). Receive an unconditional offer letter confirming your admission. Pay the deposit fee (if required) to secure your seat.
Step 2: Receive the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
After meeting all admission requirements, your university will issue a CAS letter. The CAS contains a unique reference number needed for your visa application. Your CAS is valid for six months from the date of issue.
Step 3: Arrange Financial Proof
